Alexandria VA -> Lexington Park MD commute : I currently work at NAVAIR @ Pax River. I really want to move to Alexandria for a plethora of reasons. There is a lot to consider so I need advice about the following: Is it REALLY worth the drive? By that I mean my rent would be going down to 1/5 of what I pay now (that is a huge increase in take home pay & yes I realize I would be spending more in gas). Would telecommuting 1-2 days a week HELP me deal with the commute? I know this wouldn't be a forever thing, but I think I could do it for a year. All insight is welcome. Thanks in advance!
