Europe : What do Scandinavians think of other Europeans? I’m half British/Irish and half Greek-Cypriot. I could probably pass for Northern European, if it weren’t for my extremely dark hair and brown eyes. Would it be hard to get a job, I’m learning Norwegian now after some helpful advice in my previous post. Should be at B1/B2 level next year. I’m planning on moving to Oslo from London. I absolutely adore Norway, the people, the scenery and the culture. Your country is amazing! I'm involved in organizing a petition to demand subtitles in Sami on these networks. Our demands are: a) That NRK, SVT and Yle provide Sami subtitles to any Sami-speaking programs. b) That NRK, SVT and Yle add subtitles in several Sami languages for programmes in Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish. c) That the Norwegian, S

Getting FSME vaccine : I was out in the woods for hiking the day before and spotted a tick walking around my ankle. Brushed it off before it bit me. Did some research and apparently FSME is one of the diseases ticks carry, which has a vaccine unlike Lyme disease. Wondering if this is a common vaccine to get in Norway? And can I just walk into a legevakt and get vaccinated? Full Article
