Figuring out a phone plan is driving me crazy, need help! : I consider myself pretty decent with figuring things out like this but I hitting my head against a wall over this. My last 3 month trip I used Google Fi. I didn't understand it well and was hit with $300 a month bill. My mom is sick and I call everyday to check on her (Costa Rica to United States call). I'm moving there in a couple months and need to figure out the cheapest way to call & text from Costa Rica to the United States. Ev

Anyone want to share a vehicle? : We tend to spend about six to eight weeks in Costa Rica per year, and instead of shelling out $4500 a year, would prefer to buy a used 4x4 pickup, like a Nissan Frontier or Toyota Hilux. However, it's a waste to just have the vehicle sit the rest of the time, and vehicles don't do well sitting idle for too long. Is there anyone who wants a second vehicle but doesn't want to bear the full cost? Any other gringos who come and go periodically via San Jose? Alternately - how have others solved this challenge? Jacket left on bus en route to San Jose from Quesada. Any chance of getting it back? : My wife accidentally left her favorite jacket on the bus traveling to San Jose from Ciudad Quesada. We got off in Alajuela and she didn't realize she left it until we got to our hotel. Is there any chance of getting it back? Does anybody know which company to contact? It was the 2:30 PM bus earlier today (Feb 20). Edit: The bus was kind of a pale green color if that helps. At the top of the ticket it says "Transportes San Jose-Venecia" Full Article

Help finding a news article : I was moments behind a horrific accident on Ruta 27 (I think), northbound, on 5 July around 2 pm or so. The people involved have been in my heart since then, and I wanted to see if I could find anything in the news. My Spanish is not very good, so I wondered whether anyone can help me find any information about what happened and especially about the people. I don’t know even where to look- which news programs or newspapers. Does anyone have ideas? Thanks so much in advance. Full Article

Help with more off the beaten path itinerary, please. : Hello! I am flying into Liberia on January 20 and leaving January 25. I’d like to do two days in Rio Celeste and 2-3 days in Samara or Nosario. I plan to rent a car. Does this seem reasonable? Should I add another location? I don’t have a lot of time. The Cloud Forests around Monteverde appeal to me, but I don’t know that I have the time. La Fortuna sees a little too much like Dollywood for my tastes. Full Article
