Housing market : Home buying advice please: I think paying rent is awful here because it's $2,300 and that blows so I'm in a hurry to buy but a friend says the market is super high right now and due for a plunge and waiting 2 years makes sense. I wondered what the market has been like in recent years and when the optimal time to buy would be. In Indiana where I'm from winter is a great buying season. I think waiting 2 years and paying $50k in rent hoping home prices fall is counter productive. He thinks there is no way this state can handle any higher cost of living and they will HAVE to come down again. I'm looking to buy in Roseville.
