Maryland Receives 160 Applications for Medical Marijuana Expansion : Article: The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission has received more than 160 applications for one of the state’s 14 new medical cannabis licenses, the Baltimore Sun reports. The license expansion is aimed at minority- and women-owned businesses and comes more than a year after the legislature and Gov. Larry Hogan approved a law to address the lack of diversity in the state’s cannabis industry. Maryland's medical cannabis program is going to keep expanding. With the additional licenses to be approved, that means more job opportunities will be available to individuals seeking to enter the cannabis workforce. Individuals interested in working in MD's program must be trained before they are allowed to start working. No specific training is accredited for the state of Maryland which means we have made sure that our training satisfies all the state requirements. The state also requires employees to attend follow up training every 12 months. HempStaff allows all of our return students to attend any classes in the future - at no charge. HempStaff will be back to train individuals who want to work in Maryland's Medical Marijuana Program on June 22nd in Baltimore. Info Here: Full Article
